our STUCCO RE-COLOR COAT process
At Superior Plastering our process is simple; we will evaluate your home or commercial building step by step per the manufacturer's specifications and offer a fair competitive bid. Our experience, expertise, and attention to detail set us apart from the other exterior stucco companies.
- We power wash the walls using a high-pressure washer to clean the entire surface of dirt, loose and flaking stucco. This will give us a good base in which to apply a stucco finish.
- On walls with surface cracks we recommend a crack reduction system that includes the application of a high-strength, flexible, and polymer base coat with an embedded alkali-resistant fiberglass mesh specifically made to adhere with conventional stucco finishes.
- Apply acrylic primer to ensure uniform appearance to acrylic color finish. (Bonding agent for traditional stucco finish.)
- The final step is a decorative and protective acrylic finish or traditional stucco finish.

Adds strength and flexibility to the outer wall surface. It consists of a layer of woven glass fiber reinforcing mesh embedded in a polymer basecoat. It is an ideal option when specifying a smooth finish or to repair existing stucco walls. We highly recommend the Crack Reduction System to assist in the suppression of cracks in your existing building.

Acrylic stucco/synthetic stucco finish
The very first impression of a building is almost always made by its color. With acrylic finishes you can achieve much deeper and darker colors with greater color consistency than traditional stucco. All Acrylic finishes are available in standard colors as well as unlimited custom tinting, limited only by the imagination.
Acrylic finishes are a blend of 100% acrylic co-polymers and aggregate. Flexible enough to seal existing, non-moving hairline cracks, thereby providing protection against degradation caused by moisture and pollution intrusion. Acrylic finishes won’t darken or discolor during prolonged rainstorms. They also add weather resistance to the Portland cement assembly while still allowing the assembly to breathe. Acrylic finishes include Dirt Pick-up Resistance (DPR) technology. The combination of monomers and emulsifiers helps reduce dirt attraction and greatly improves the long-term appearance of your home or business. |
exterior stucco color coat
Stucco is the best value and the most efficient wall finish available. It is a tried-and-true finish with a proven, long-term, and well-documented history. Providing a variety of textures, beauty, durability, and fire-resistance properties.
Beautiful cement stucco integral colors use iron oxide pigments to achieve its color. These inorganic minerals give the colors a rich and natural look. Since the stucco is internally colored, when applied correctly, it never needs painting, will not peel, and resists fading. Like many natural materials, cement stucco looks a little different each season. With proper curing, age, and exposure to the elements, Portland cement stucco can darken slightly over time, enhancing the color. This is a unique characteristic of stucco. Stucco cement products fade approximately 1% to 3% in 20 years. Depending on the color, most exterior paint products will fade about 50% in 5 to 8 years. Stucco is very durable when applied correctly, Cement stucco is a tough, fire resistant material that will not peal and resists fading. |
